Lessons, from Father to Son. Lesson 1: Spring
Thus begins a new feature on CheeseNPickles.com; lessons from a father to his son.
Quinn: “Dad, my friends were saying that today is the first day of spring and that would lead to flower buds, chirping birdies, and gentle tickles of rain. What gives?”
Mike: “Nonsense, Quinn. ‘Spring’ is derived from the latin springus, which means ‘second winter’. Wait until summer, son, the snowflakes will be as big as your head!”
